Calculation Formulas Used

🪣 Concrete Volume — Column
Vnet = L × B × H
Vorder = Vnet × (1 + W/100)
Trucks = ⌈Vorder / Truck capacity⌉
Cubes = ⌈Vorder / 50⌉ + 1
Example: 0.45 × 0.45 × 1.16 = 0.235 m³ · +5% wastage = 0.247 m³
IS 456 Cl.15.2: 1 set per 50 m³ minimum
Concrete Volume — Slab
Vgross = L × B × D
Vnet = Vgross − Deductions
Deductions = Column heads (No. × col_L × col_B × D)
+ Openings (if any)
Example: 12.4 × 8.2 × 0.18 = 18.309 m³
Deduct 4 col heads: 4 × 0.45 × 0.45 × 0.18 = 0.146 m³
Net = 18.163 m³
📏 Partial Pour Volume
Hpour = Hend − Hstart
Vpour = L × B × Hpour
FW area = 2(L + B) × Hpour
(column formwork, 4 faces)
Example: Pour 2 of 3 · Start 1.17m, End 2.33m
H = 1.16m · Vol = 0.45×0.45×1.16 = 0.235 m³
FW = 2(0.45+0.45)×1.16 = 2.088 m²
🪵 Formwork — Column
FW = 2(L + B) × H
= 4 faces total area
Net FW = Gross − Deductions
(kickers, openings)
Example: 450×450mm col, 1.16m pour height
FW = 2(0.45+0.45)×1.16 = 2.088 m²
BOQ unit: m² · Rate e.g. ₹420/m²
🪵 Formwork — Slab
FWsoffit = L × B
(bottom face only)
Net FW = L×B − Column heads − Openings
Col head deduct = No. × col_L × col_B
Example: 12.4×8.2 slab
Gross = 101.68 m²
Deduct 4 col heads: 4×0.45×0.45 = 0.81 m²
Net FW = 100.87 m²
🪵 Formwork — Beam
FW = (2D + B) × L
2 sides + soffit
Net FW = (2D+B)×L − Junction deductions
Example: 300×550mm beam, 6.2m span
FW = (2×0.55+0.30)×6.2 = 8.68 m²
Deduct junction: −0.45×0.55×2 = −0.495 m²
Net = 8.185 m²
🔩 BBS — Bar Weight
w = (d² / 162) × L kg
(IS 1786 · HYSD Fe500)
Total = Σ (No. × Cut_length × unit_weight)
Unit wt (T8) = 0.395 kg/m
Unit wt (T10) = 0.617 · T12 = 0.888 · T16 = 1.578 · T20 = 2.469
IS 2502:2014 Shape codes used
CADS India exports cut length + shape code
Stirrup count = ⌈H / spacing⌉ + 2 (confinement zones)
90-min Rule — IS 456 Cl.13.1
Transit time = Discharge time − Dispatch time
Status = REJECT if transit_time > 90 min
OR temp > 35°C
OR drum revolutions > 300
Batch register tracks dispatch → arrival → discharge
Live countdown shown on site batch entry
Alert triggered at 75 min (warning), 90 min (reject)
🧊 Cube Test — IS 456 Cl.16.1
Acceptance: fmean ≥ fck + 4 N/mm²
Individual: fcube ≥ fck − 4 N/mm²
M25: fmean ≥ 29 N/mm² · fcube ≥ 21
M30: fmean ≥ 34 N/mm² · fcube ≥ 26
Min sets = max(1, ⌈V/50⌉) per IS 456 Cl.15.2
7-day result ≥ 70% of 28-day characteristic strength
M25 7-day target: ≥ 16.5 N/mm²
📒 Concrete M-Book — CPWD Format
Qty = Σ (No. × L × B × H)
for each measurement row
Net qty = Gross − Σ Deductions
Amount = Net qty × BOQ Rate
Deductions: rebar void (~2%), col heads, nibs
Measurement locked from element dimensions
Over-measurement check: Net ≤ 1.05 × BOQ contracted qty
📒 Formwork M-Book
FW qty = Σ (No. × L × H)
for each face row (m²)
Net FW = Gross − Deductions
Amount = Net FW × Formwork Rate
Column: 4 faces (N/S/E/W)
Slab: soffit only
Beam: 2 sides + soffit = (2D+B)×L
BOQ rate e.g. ₹420/m² columns, ₹380/m² slabs
📊 BOQ Progress & Billing
% Executed = (Σ M-Book qty / BOQ qty) × 100
Cumulative value = Σ (Net qty × Rate)
Balance = BOQ qty − Σ M-Book qty
BOQ item code is the common key linking:
Pour Card → M-Book → BOQ → Report
Retention held = 5% of certified amount
